Our first week of ForeverFit classes kicked off to a great start and we are super excited to see this program grow! We are very excited to be offering ForeverFit, in a commitment to meet the needs and goals of those that are 55+. Our program will improve strength, balance, coordination, and cardiovascular capacity. By enhancing your ability to perform functional movements it will positively impact your health span AND lifespan, two very important metrics of health. It’s never too late to start your health and wellness journey. No matter our age, life will be easier, and we will have more independence if we are able to pick things up, put them overhead, carry objects from point A to point B, squat down to sit in a chair, and get up off the floor without assistance. With the overall goal of improved health in mind, we tailor our workouts for...

We are very excited to announce that you can now use your HSA/FSA funds to reimburse yourself for memberships and other purchases at CrossFit Winter Park and Winter Park Bootcamp! This means you could be saving an average of 30%! To make this happen, we have partnered with TrueMed, a company devoted to driving HSA/FSA spending to products that are proven to improve metabolic health- aka CrossFit and many of the other things we do here at CFWP. It’s pretty simple- exercise is medicine and the CrossFit prescription helps prevent and cure chronic disease.   TrueMed will handle all the intricacies of using your HSA/FSA funds on your behalf, making the entire process seamless and hassle-free. You will just have to pay $30 directly to TrueMed for their service. The gym does not get anything out of this other than the potential to attract new members and retain current members....

We are very excited to help a long-time member of CrossFit Winter Park, Taylor McGowan, gather donations for Wekiva High School’s School Pantry & The Clothing Closet. Taylor is entering her 6th year as Wekiva High School’s School Social Worker. She is the point of contact for all things mental health, as well as for the homeless and foster care youth in this Title I school.  Title I is a federal education program that supports low-income students throughout the nation.  Funds are distributed to high poverty schools, as determined by the number of students who qualify for free or reduced lunch.  Taylor’s office houses the School Pantry & The Clothing Closet. Even with federal funding, both the pantry and the closet are reliant upon donations from the community to stay up in order to supply the students with basic necessities such as non-perishable foods, school supplies, clothes, and backpacks. Taylor...
