5/29/24 IGNITE Workout

On Wednesday May 29th we will be doing the IGNITE Workout which is a fundraising event for Forging Youth Resilience (FYR), a national nonprofit bringing fitness, nutrition education, and mentorship to youth who otherwise would not have access to these services.

FYR’s goal is to raise $100,000 through peer-to-peer donations and celebrate fitness as a pathway toward positive mental health. Participants are encouraged to fundraise for FYR and bring awareness to the organization’s important work. 100% of the proceeds will go directly toward empowering youth athletes nationwide. FYR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower young people to build physical and mental strength for life by providing access to a network of community-based fitness programs, nutrition education, and mentorship. FYR serves youth coming from under-resourced families or communities, who might also be out of school, in foster care, experiencing homelessness, or involved in the justice system.

With an 18-minute running clock, complete:
21-15-9 reps of:
Thrusters (95/65)
Lateral Burpees Over the Barbell
Sit-ups

In the remaining time, establish a max weight of the complex:
1 Power Clean + 1 Hang Squat Clean
