8 Week Mobility Series

We are very excited to announce an 8 Week Mobility Series led by Coach Heather beginning on September 12th!

This is a great opportunity for you to dedicate some time and attention to areas of your body that are often overlooked but are still extremely important. Whether you are not active at all or a seasoned athlete, this series will give you tools to improve your fitness, health, and quality of life.

This series is limited to 15 participants so be sure to register ASAP!

Series Objectives:

Increase Flexibility: Participants will engage in targeted stretching exercises and dynamic mobility drills to improve flexibility in key muscle groups and joints.

Enhance Range of Motion: The series will focus on exercises and techniques to increase participants’ mobility, allowing for improved performance and reduced risk of injury.

Injury Prevention: Through guided instruction and demonstrations, participants will learn proper techniques to help prevent injuries related to flexibility limitations and limited range of motion.

Individualized Approach: The series will cater to participants of all ages and fitness levels, offering modifications and progressions to meet different bodies and abilities.

Series Structure and Dates:

The 8-week series will consist of 16 sessions. Each session will last between 45-60 minutes. The weekly curriculum will be designed to progressively challenge participants and provide ongoing support and guidance throughout the program. Is it encouraged that participants attend the 2 classes per week, but not mandatory. There will still be a great benefit from attending once per week.

It will begin on Tuesday September 12th and end on Thursday November 2nd. Class times are Tuesdays 7:00am and Thursdays 5:30pm. If you need to leave a little early on Tuesdays to get to work, that is totally fine!

Cost:

The series cost for current CrossFit Winter Park and Winter Park Bootcamp members is $199 which includes 16 classes and support materials. Payment must be made in full, prior to September 12th and is non-refundable. The cost is not prorated for any missed classes.

Drop-in rates for individual classes will be available at $20 per class, per person for current members and $25 for non-members.

*A weekly recap email will be sent out including a suggested program of how to incorporate the movements into a daily routine. There will also be video links to movement demonstrations.

FAQ’s

How much are classes?

The entire series, which includes 16 classes offered twice a week on Tuesdays 7am and Thursdays at 5:30pm is $199 for current CrossFit Winter Park and Winter Park Bootcamp members and $259 for non-members.

If you would like to attend classes drop-in style each class is $20 per class per person for current members and $25 per class per person for non-CFWP members.

Do I have to be a member of CFWP or be invited by a member?

Nope! Everyone is welcome! Come join us even if you have never attended classes or been in the facility before.

Do I have to go to every class? What if I miss or can’t make class?

It is encouraged to go twice a week as your cost includes the 16 classes. But you will still attain benefits and acquire knowledge even if you can only attend once a week!

If you missed class and are signed up for the entire series, you will still receive your weekly email with exercises, program, and video links.

How do I pay?

You can sign up and pay via the registration link on crossfitwinterpark.com or you can sign-up in person at the gym. Please note, there are no refunds and payment must be made in full at the time of registration.

Why do you need my email?

Every week you will get an email that re-caps the exercises we did. This email will include a suggested program of how to incorporate these movements into your daily routine. There will also be video links showing you how these movements are done.

Will every class be different?

There will be some variation in each class however, you will see some repeated movements in each class. Repetition is important for understanding the movement well and for seeing results. Our goal is to build on exercises each week as we travel around different parts of the body.

Is this a fast-paced class?

No! Expect to move slowly and repeat movements. At times, you will be asked to hold for 30-60 seconds at a time to focus on breathing and sensations within the body.

What do I need to bring to class? Do I need my own props/mat?

You are not required to bring anything to class, but we encourage you to bring water.

Yoga mat or large towel

Sweat towel

Yoga blocks or books of equal size

Bolster or a folded towel/blanket Yoga strap or a leg of stretchy pant/shirt, belt to a robe, leash
